VINCENT WREN trained and graduated from, the legendary Independent Theatre School of Dramatic Art, North Sydney during the early seventies following success as a young rock 'n' roll singer, having appeared on all national television pop shows. Upon graduation he spent many years performing in children's theatre at the Independent Theatre where he began teaching drama. He has a Grad. Dip. Ed. and a Master's Degree in Educational Drama. He has taught in many of the drama educational institutions in Sydney and has been employed as the drama coach with many productions.

He has also worked in television and live theatre and has appeared in over fifty stage productions. His television credits include The Unloved, Matlock Police, No 96, The Love Boat - (Australian episode) and Cop Shop, A Country Practice to name only a few.

He was appointed Artistic Director of the Australian Theatre Vince Wren, Educational Drama, Performer, Actor, Artistic Director who performed in movies such as  Matlock Police, Cop Shop, Country Practice.where he wrote and directed the sixties musical Flashback and You're On The Air a psychological drama based on the life of a midnight to dawn disc jockey, which won rave reviews.

Movies include Little Boy Lost, Moonlight Over America (produced as part of Australia's contribution to America's Bicentenary), The She Rebel, The Potato Factory and the seventies remake of Eureka Stockade. He portrayed the Reverend Samuel Marsden in the Robert Hughes television adaptation Our Fatal Shores in 2001 which was released worldwide. He has appeared in many television commercials including AMCO Jeans, Nestle Chocolate, Coca- Cola and became the face of the Power Barn commercials on Central Coast and North Coast Television.

He has worked as a successful radio announcer with such stations as Double Jay Rock – ABC Sydney; 2GLF-FM, Liverpool; 2SER-FM, University of Technology, Broadway ; 2RDJ-FM, Burwood, Sydney; 2DU – Dubbo; 2000-FM, Gosford, Central Coast; North FM, Hornsby, Sydney and is in demand for voice over work.

He worked in the Central West where he operated a successful drama school in Orange and Dubbo. He directed the 1995 street theatre competition for Youth Week on the theme “Drink Drunk the Difference is U’ and was placed fourth in the state. In 1993 he directed the Rock Opera Little Red Rockin’ Hood for the Orange Schools’ Cluster Concert. In the same year he also directed the annual Portland Presents for Portland Central Schoo1, where he taught drama that year.

While in Orange he was appointed the official Town Crier 1993 – 1997 and hosted the two hundred years celebrations for Orange in 1996. He was also involved in a number of events in Blayney, Bathurst and led the parade in 1996 in Nyngan to welcome Phillip Dutton the gold medal winner home.

He returned to Sydney and appeared as Renfield in the 1998 production of Dracula for Four Seasons Promotions and worked as a street performer at Australia’s Wonderland before working as an actor at Old Sydney Town from 1995 until it closed in 2003.

When Old Sydney Town ceased trading 26th January 2003 he wrote the Colonial Show fusing the concept of Old Sydney Town and the Human Society and Its Environment Syllabus dealing with British Colonisation. He has returned to the country area and formed a troupe of performers with the sole purpose of introducing all primary aged students to Colonial Australian History through live performances.
